116th annual meeting brings new faces, milestones for Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET – Hosted at its Alfred Elson Jr. Clubhouse, the 116th annual meeting of the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket saw five new trustees appointed, three new members of the board of directors recognized and numerous employees honored.

James R. Hoyt Jr., CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket, said in 2016 there was a 25 percent jump in average daily attendance.

He also commended those members of his team who “raised their hands for our kids” – employees, board members and trustees who volunteer, donate and make in-kind contributions to the welfare of local youth.

The newly appointed trustees include Jeff Bradley, club alum and digital and marketing events manager for Bristol County Savings Bank; Alex Holloway, the club’s current Youth of the Year and a student at the Community College of Rhode Island; Mary Duffy Messier, member of the R.I. House of Representatives; Sarah Fox Okuma, program manager for coaching and career management at IGT; and Linda Weisinger, executive director of Pawtucket Central Falls Development.
