NEW YORK – Six local schools have made the Princeton Review’s 2013 listing of the “Best 377 Colleges.” Brown University, Bryant University, Providence College, Stonehill College, the University of Rhode Island and Wheaton College.

Rankings in the 2013 college guide, released Tuesday, were based on The Princeton Review’s survey of 122,000 students attending the 377 colleges in the book.

The 80 question survey asked students to rate their schools on various topics and report their campus experiences.

According to a release by Bryant University announcing its inclusion in the list, roughly 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges – as well as three colleges outside of the U.S. – are profiled in the book.

In addition to making the list of the best colleges in the country, Brown University touted having the 12th best quality of life and the 14th happiest students of all colleges on the list.

While none of the six area schools were ranked as one of Princeton’s 20 biggest party schools, Providence College ranked first in both the “Lots of Hard Liquor” and “Little Race/Class Interaction” categories.
