Saturday, Island Moving Co., Newport’s contemporary ballet company, will commemorate its 31st season with Opening Connections: An Evening of Dance to Celebrate the Future. The show will take place at Newport’s Rosecliff mansion, and includes the premiere of “In the Beginning,” a ballet featuring the music of Vivaldi, by Providence choreographer Mark Harootian. Dancers will also perform other works from the company’s repertory. During the event, attendees are invited to take part in a celebration toast and a catered intermission.
