A2B to introduce IUID solutions at DoD symposium

PORSMOUTH – A2B Tracking Solutions, the largest U.S. Department of Defense Item Unique Identification (IUID) program partner, will unveil new features of its software at the DoD Maintenance Symposium.
The symposium is taking place in Grand Rapids, Mich. from Nov. 13 – 16 and A2B will be at exhibit booth 113.
The company’s software is widely used by DoD components to identify, mark and track parts and items within a maintenance environment.
“We are implementing a capability that will revolutionize military maintenance and repair both in terms of technology sophistication and results,” A2B President and CEO Peter Collins said in a statement. “Users of UC! Web are seeing tremendous payback due to a dramatic reduction in maintenance cycle time. Further payback comes as item and component failures are identified, supporting predictive maintenance.”
UC!Web is an Internet-based IUID tracking software, which enables serialized item management of military equipment, assigning them to custodial owners, location, condition, status, inventory history and warranty-related information.
According to a company statement, the software allows users to define and capture serialized data, create linear and two-dimensional data matrix barcodes and RFID tags, and to track, ship and update item status across the equipment’s lifecycle.
The company expects to release the new software features in Spring 2013.
