Why did you select your profession?

I was offered a job in regulatory consulting at a Big Four accounting firm. I figured if I did not like it, I could try something else in a couple of years. I have stayed in this field for the last 14 years because it has turned out to be a really dynamic period in regulatory history.

What’s the best career advice you’ve received?

Move around, try new things, take on broader responsibility, do not be afraid to take lateral moves.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

How do you keep a work-life balance?

I have a partner who is very supportive and who is actively involved with our son. I would have a lot less balance without him and without the help and support from our families who live close by. I also work out with a trainer at Momentum Fitness. It gives me a chance to blow off stress and to get some “me time.” •
