AG adds new features to website

PROVIDENCE – Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin has update the Office of Attorney General website, www.riag.ri.gov, with two new contact forms.
The forms include one specifically contacting Kilmarting and a new electronic consumer complaint form.
“Often, a constituent will call the office unsure of whom they need to speak with about a particular issue. This new contact form will give the public more direct access to the appropriate individual in the Office and allow our staff to assist constituents more effectively and efficiently,” Kilmartin said in prepared remarks.
The electronic “Contact Us” form (www.riag.ri.gov) allows Rhode Island constituents to write to the Attorney General directly for reasons ranging from invent invitations to questions about Open Government.
The completed form is sent directly to the Attorney General’s executive staff, who insure that each inquiry is forwarded to the appropriate employee and followed up in a timely manner.
Prior to the new digital complaint form, to submit a consumer complaint, constituents had to print, complete and submit a hard copy of the form. The “Electronic Consumer Complaint Form” (www.riag.ri.gov) allows users to submit complaints quickly online.
“I strive to be responsive to the public and continually look to improve how we interact with the public and the Office. I hope people find the new forms helpful, and will let us know if there are other ways we can better serve them,” said Kilmartin.
