ARGO Medical picks Mass. for headquarters

Posted 10/8/12

BOSTON – Gov. Deval L. Patrick joined ARGO Medical Technologies at the AdvaMed 2012 conference last week to announce that the Israeli-founded exoskeleton technology leader has selected Massachusetts as its U.S. headquarters.

The new Massachusetts headquarters, which the company expects to house up to 40 employees, will be located in Marlborough.

According to a news release, ARGO Medical Technologies’ ReWalk product is an exoskeleton suit that enables persons with lower-limb disabilities such as paraplegia to stand and walk independently without assistance. The company now has centers in Germany and Israel.

At the press conference announcing the selection of Massachusetts, a paralyzed Vietnam veteran demonstrated the ReWalk exoskeleton technology. •
