Aaron Read has been named IT/engineering director at Rhode Island Public Media, where he will lead a team that ensures transmitters, computers and studios are running at peak proficiency. He will also be responsible for strategizing future technical improvements. Read is a certified broadcast technologist. He holds a B.A. in psychology from Boston University. •
