Allstate looks to grow R.I. agent force 18%

MALVERN, Pa. – Allstate Insurance Co. is looking to grow the number of its agents in Rhode Island by 18 percent.

The Pennsylvania-based insurance company plans to recruit about 30 new insurance agents and personal-finance representatives in the Ocean State through the next year, according to a news release.

The insurance company is looking for midcareer, midlevel managers who want to own and operate their own businesses, according to the release.

The insurance agency is looking to increase agents by 16 percent across all the New England states except Vermont.
