MALVERN, Pa. – Allstate Insurance Co. is looking to grow the number of its agents in Rhode Island by 18 percent.
The Pennsylvania-based insurance company plans to recruit about 30 new insurance agents and personal finance representatives in the Ocean State through the next year, according to a press release.
“Rhode Island’s economy is fueling this expansion plan. We target cities and areas that are growing and have an increased need to protect what matters most to the people in those communities as a part of Allstate’s broader strategy to expand in Rhode Island,” said Ed Norcia, Allstate’s northeast region strategic deployment leader, in a statement.
The insurance company is looking for mid-career, mid-level managers who want to own and operate their own businesses, according to the release.
“We are aggressively targeting qualified professionals,” Norcia said. “A property and casualty insurance background is not required. Allstate will provide them with comprehensive education and the resources to help them get off to a solid start. They do need a strong entrepreneurial drive and passion to help others in their community.”
Jennifer Nappi, an Allstate agent in Warren, opened her agency in 2009 and she’s seen “tremendous profit and growth,” according to the release.
“I always wanted my own business and Allstate provided the tools for me to grow my business quickly and provide my staff the best training in the industry,” Nappi said in a statement.
The insurance agency is looking to increase insurance agents by 16 percent across all the New England states except Vermont, according to the release.
