NORTH KINGSTOWN – Amazing Charts.com Inc., a leading developer of electronic health record systems, announced recently that its Version 6 was certified and compliant for 2011/2012 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology.
As a result, the health-record system meets the “meaningful use” criteria for providers and hospitals under the federal stimulus act regulations, and can be purchased with federal grants.
Founded in 2001, the North Kingstown-based Amazing Charts says that its electronic health record systems are now being used by more than 4,200 medical practices
“Physicians are not stupid,” said Dr. Jonathan Bertman, a family physician and the founder and CEO of Amazing Charts. “Politicians complain that we haven’t adopted health IT fast enough – but until now, there hasn’t been an EHR that fits the needs of physicians working in small practices, namely a certified EHR that is truly affordable and has been proven in studies to be easier to implement and use than other systems. Now there is – and this is why Amazing Charts is being adopted in record numbers,” he said.
