Amica Mutual gets recognition from Rhode Island Blood Center

Amica Mutual Insurance Co. was recently presented with the Rhode Island Blood Center’s Vision Award for the support it has provided to the nonprofit.
“Amica is one of the most dedicated sponsors we have,” said Scott Asadorian, vice president and chief operating officer for the Rhode Island Blood Center. “It’s critical that the business community in Rhode Island support our cause. We are very grateful for Amica’s support.”
For more than 20 years, Amica has hosted quarterly blood drives in its offices, which have an average of 90 employees participate each time. So far, Amica employees have donated a total of 7,462 pints of blood to the Rhode Island Blood Center. In addition, 71 employees have registered for the National Marrow Donor Program, with four donating so far.
