Posted 2/20/12

PAWTUCKET – Robert P. Andrade was elected chairman of the board of trustees of Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

Andrade succeeds William J. Hunt, president of Shove Insurance Incorporated, who served in the role for three years.

“We look forward to working with our new chairman as we continue to provide a full spectrum of health services for the people of Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts,” said Martin E. Tursky, president and CEO of Memorial Hospital.

Andrade is executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Pawtucket Credit Union.

At the same time, Augusto “Cookie” Rojas was chosen as a new member of the hospital’s board of trustees. Rojas has been the general manager for the Pawtucket Red Sox for the past six years. Previously, he worked as an assistant vice president for Pawtucket Credit Union. •
