Aramark, RIDE ink five-year agreement

Posted:

PHILADELPHIA – Aramark announced last week that it has been selected by the R.I. Department of Education to execute the Statewide School Food Service Program beginning in the upcoming school year.

Aramark’s agreement with RIDE is a five-year umbrella agreement (including renewals) that allows the company and participating districts to execute a separate form contract developed by RIDE.

That contract allows Aramark to create customized food-service programs for participating districts based on district-specific criteria in order to preserve preferences and provide flexibility to set meal pricing based on each district’s unique needs.

While participation in the statewide contract is not required, the department said in a statement the initiative has delivered “considerable results.” •
