EAST GREENWICH – Arpin International Group, a division of Rhode Island-based moving company Arpin Group Inc., has expanded its European presence by opening a customer-service office in Wiesbaden, Germany.

“In concert with our operations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Asia, the new Germany branch immediately improves our ability to serve our client base in Central Europe with direct, on-the-ground support and knowledge,” Peter Matischak, Arpin Group’s director of global sales, said in a statement yesterday afternoon. He will serve as general manager of the new office, overseeing its day-to-day operations.

Over the past three years, Arpin International has grown rapidly, adding service centers in the New York, London, Singapore, Toronto and Houston metropolitan areas – and now, in greater Frankfurt. Last month, the division shifted its Boston office to a larger facility, to accommodate its growing staff. “We will continue to expand to locations around the world as our client requirements dictate,” Matischak said.

Arpin Group Inc., the holding company for Arpin Van Lines, Arpin International Group, Arpin Moving Systems (Canada), Star Moving Network and Intermodal Credit Corp., has remained family owned and operated since its founding more than a century ago.
