WEST WARWICK – International moving company The Arpin Group completed a $2 million “green” renovation of its world headquarters in West Warwick.
“These renovations will not only provide a better workspace for our employees, but will also help us reduce our carbon footprint thanks to many ‘green’ technology upgrades,” Bob Sullivan, senior vice president of Arpin Group, said in prepared remarks.
The $2 million, yearlong renovation included a solar power array – which will provide 40 percent of the building’s electrical power – new roofing that reduces heat gain, insulated solar-reflective windows, flooring made from “green” contents and new workstations made from recycled material.
The construction added 2,834 square feet to the building, including a new media room, a larger lobby and a corridor connecting the office building and adjacent warehouse on two levels.
“We are very proud of our new headquarters and it will serve us for many years to come,” added Sullivan.
Congratulations to a great company for investing in environmental sustainability, their employees, and Rhode Island.
