Atrion launches Microsoft Lync service

WARWICK – Atrion, a New England-based IT services provider, has announced a wide-scale launch of managed services for Microsoft Lync, the third most popular instant messaging and video conferencing client in North America.
Microsoft Lync fulfills the rising business need for an efficient, effective communication platform that can be used anywhere on almost any device with a connection, Atrion said. Lync’s instant messaging combines video conferencing and VoIP to significantly reduce phone costs, increase employee productivity and improve peer-to-peer collaboration.
While the Lync user interface is intuitive, however, it is difficult for mid-sized organizations to train and lead an internal team of experts to deploy and run the client service. To address this need, Atrion has formally added Microsoft Lync services to its managed IT services portfolio.
The company said in a news release announcing the new service that the addition of Lync-related services will provide a customizable and multi-vendor option for Atrion’s IT services clients.
“Atrion is excited to add Lync managed services to our portfolio,” said Kevin McCarron, director of Atrion’s Business Innovation Group. “Atrion’s diverse managed services portfolio and engineering talent offer great value, and Lync represents an ecosystem of products and technologies that come together to provide a unified communications and collaboration platform.”
