PPL welcomes Providence-native Jan David Blais for a talk on his epic novel of courage and its consequences: Twentieth Century Limited.

When a Vietnam Vet who overcomes disabling injuries to become an award-winning reporter and TV newsman is suspiciously killed on assignment in Iraq, his old professor/mentor joins with a writer to seek the truth.

On his book, Blais notes “..its portrayal of America’s decades of stalemate & folly reminds us of the importance of not forgetting. ‘Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it.'”
