BBJ names Baystate a Best Place to work

BOSTON – The Boston Business Journal named Baystate Financial LLC one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts, representing the only wealth management firm to make this year’s list, according to a press release.
Boston-based Baystate Financial, with offices in Rhode Island, is one of more than 400 companies that qualified for consideration and the company says the award represents the company’s achievement in creating a positive work environment that “attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture,” according to the release.
Dave C. Porter, managing partner, said in a statement that he sees some “truly awesome things coming from [his] growing team of brilliant advisors and staff.”
“We believe that Baystate Financial’s greatest strength is its network of talented people, the passion they have for their work and the collaborative culture they embrace,” Porter said. “All across New England our associates make us a best place to work. Our focus always is to foster an environment that encourages their best thinking and supports their personal and professional development so that we bring the best to each other and to our clients day-in-and-day out.”
The BBJ business survey, conducted in January, was done in conjunction with market research firm Quantum Workplace of Omaha, Neb. The questions went out and rankings were based on more than 18,000 responses, measuring factors including “pride in company, company encouragement, support and recognition of achievement and relationships with co-workers and supervisors,” according to the release.
The top companies in five size categories will be recognized during a cocktail reception on June 18 at the CitiCenter/Wang Theatre, according to the release.
