BCC expanding program ?in deaf studies this year

FALL RIVER – Bristol Community College plans to expand its program in deaf studies this year, part of the college’s existing degree-completion program in psychology with Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass.
The community college announced that plans call for courses to be added in deaf-studies education in the summer or fall. Lesley University and BCC are considering offering the classes on BCC’s Fall River campus one night per week for eight weeks.
Coursework in the deaf-studies program can be applied toward a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Lesley, the college said, so BCC students can take up to a full year’s worth of courses beyond an associate’s degree and use those courses to earn a bachelor’s degree. Student can transfer up to 90 BCC credits to Lesley. &#8226
