DALLAS – Private-equity backed, temporary staffing firm BG Staffing has acquired Pawtucket-based American Partners Inc., BG announced Tuesday.

The deal with American Partners, a national niche staffing firm specializing in providing experienced information technology professionals, closed on Dec. 3.

According to Ron Wnek, Director at American Partners, the firm is operating as it did on Dec. 2 before the deal closed. “Nothing has changed, everyone is still staying,” Wnek told Providence Business News.

“We hope this is going to lead to bigger and greater things,” said Wnek, adding that the firm still has plans to expand its presence within the Ocean State. “We hope that we’ll continue on with the success we’ve had in the last five years,” he said.

“We are pleased to add American Partners to our platform,” BG Staffing President and CEO L. Allen Baker Jr. said in prepared remarks. “American Partners strengthens and expands our existing information technology operations.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
