NEW SHOREHAM – A 15-acre, oceanfront property sold for $4.75 million recently, the highest sale recorded in the past three years on Block Island, according to Lila Delman Real Estate International, which represented both buyer and seller.
The property is at 919 Coast Guard Road and includes two houses, vineyards and 460 feet of beachfront access. The original house, built in 1967, is a three bedroom ranch with nearly 1,200 square feet of living space and a wooden deck around two sides, according to online property records.
The newer home, built in 2005, is a two-floor Gambrel with 1,890 square-feet of interior space and a deck around two sides, according to information on the Vision Government Solutions website.
The seller of the property, identified by Vision Government Solutions as David J. Miller, of New York, had purchased it in September 2013 for $3.625 million.
The previous owners, who had purchased the property in September 1999, acquired it for $2,050,000, according to the website information.
The identity of the new owner was not disclosed by Lila Delman Real Estate International and not immediately available.
The real estate company announced the sale on Aug. 3.
