BJ’s ‘adopts’ schools in R.I. and Mass.

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. has announced partnerships with 215 schools – including five in Rhode Island and three in Bristol County, Mass. – through the organization’s Adopt-A-School program.
According to a news release, at the beginning of each school year, every BJ’s location partners with a local school to help enhance existing curriculum. Schools participating in BJ’s Adopt-A-School Program receive a one-time, $500 donation. The donation goes toward discretionary programs, such as field trips and special events, reading programs or other educational needs. The schools also receive a complimentary BJ’s Membership for supplies.
In Rhode Island, the schools are: Aquidneck Elementary School in Middletown, Bernon Heights Elementary in Woonsocket, Kent Heights School in East Providence, Metcalf School in Exeter and Robert F. Kennedy Elementary School in Providence.
In Bristol County, Mass., the chosen schools are: Allen Avenue Elementary School in North Attleboro, Elizabeth Pole School in Taunton and William S. Green Elementary School in Fall River. •
