BankFive supports tax program

Posted 2/14/12

FALL RIVER – BankFive announced a $2,500 donation to Citizens for Citizens Inc.’s Volunteer Tax Return Preparation Program on Feb. 2.

Through this program, income tax returns are prepared and electronically filed for lower income households by trained volunteers free of charge.

The program allows more families to benefit from earned income tax credits and child tax credits. The program is administered by personnel who also provide financial literacy information to CFC clients.

BankFive said it believes in CFC’s mission of providing services that promote self-sufficiency of low-income members of the community, in a news release.
