BankNewport opens E.G. branch

EAST GREENWICH – BankNewport recently celebrated the opening of its 13th Rhode Island branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location in East Greenwich.
The bank opened Nov. 18 at 1000 Division St.
“Our new branch location is ideal, as we are centrally located in East Greenwich Square, directly across from the Showcase Cinemas,” said Walter Monroe, BankNewport vice president and east greenwich branch manager. “We are confident that East Greenwich residents and business owners alike will find that our team is true to BankNewport’s solid reputation for exceptional financial expertise and personal service.”
The branch’s newly constructed building is 3,000 square feet with two drive-up banking lanes and a drive-up ATM. It is a full-service branch.
“BankNewport is proud to join the East Greenwich community as a financial partner and a good neighbor,” Sandra J. Pattie, newly elected president of BankNewport said in a news release. “Our expansion further demonstrates the bank’s strength and commitment to its customers in the West Bay.”
BankNewport also has branches in North Kingstown, Narragansett, and throughout Newport County and Bristol County, Rhode Island.
