Barrington properties selling faster in strong R.I. market

BARRINGTON – Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC recently reported strength in the Rhode Island market, with a focus on Barrington.
Speaking for Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, the chief marketing officer Jeni Pardo de Zela said properties in the range of $650,000 to $5 million are selling faster and closer to asking price than in 2015.
Year to date, 11 sales in Barrington have exceeded $1 million.
Through the spring and summer markets, the Days on Market figure has dropped significantly, to 95 from 128, year over year. On average, properties are selling 20 days faster.
Reported Pardo de Zela: “Our market is seeing many local buyers, mostly professionals working in the Providence and Boston areas, drawn to here by our waterfront properties, strong sense of community and excellent school system.”
