BatchBook launches iPhone app

PROVIDENCE – A mobile version for iPhones of BatchBook, a customer relationship manager for small businesses and entrepreneurs, has been launched on the Apple store.
“This free application allows [you] to keep track of [your] professional, personal and social networking contacts, and share them with the rest of [your] team anywhere they use their mobile phone,” said BatchBlue, creator of BatchBook, in a news release.
The app will automatically sync with the Web-based BatchBook software and allows on-the-go professionals – such as real-estate agents, marketers and salespeople – real-time access to their e-mail, notes from live meetings and social media.
The iPhone app is free but users do need a $9.95 per month BatchBook account.
“People are getting more done in their professional and personal lives from their mobile phones, and it is reflected in our customer base; an iPhone application has been the No. 1 request for the past year,” said Pamela O’Hara, president of BatchBlue Software.
The app’s features allow:

  • Offline access to BatchBook contacts, to-do’s and deals.
  • Browsing, searching and editing existing contacts.
  • Adding new people or company contacts.
  • Immediate, automatic updates to BatchBook account.
  • Viewing a contact’s Twitter stream directly from their record.
  • Making phone calls or launching of Google maps directly from contact record.
  • Browsing and searching to-do’s.
  • Adding and editing tags.
  • Browsing, searching and editing existing deals and creating new ones.
  • Easy to use navigation.

It is available on all iPhone models running iOS4.
BatchBook is also holding a photo contest in honor of the iPhone app launch. Interested participants should take a photo of the unusual place where they work and submit it to the “Work to Go” Flickr group. The winner will receive a gift card for a customized iPhone 4 and a free, lifelong BatchBook account. The four runners-up will receive custom iPhone skins made by Smirkabout.
