BayCoast sponsors bicentennial event

FAIRHAVEN – BayCoast Bank has provided $5,000 as lead sponsor of Fairhaven’s bicentennial celebration. The announcement was made last week by BayCoast President and CEO Nicholas M. Christ, A number of events throughout the upcoming year have been arranged by the Fairhaven Bicentennial Committee to commemorate the 200 year anniversary of its founding.
Kevin Melo, manager of BayCoast Bank’s Fairhaven location, said the bicentennial is a special event and a time for all the members of the community to celebrate. “BayCoast Bank is proud to help make this once-in-a-lifetime celebration a great success and a lasting memory for all who participate,” Melo said.
Upcoming events include the bicentennial ball and banquet on Saturday, March 10, at the Seaport Inn, a road race on Father’s Day, parades in July, and various other events throughout the summer months.
