PROVIDENCE – The Providence Biltmore Hotel has completed a $13 million renovation of guest rooms, executive suites, meeting spaces and common areas, including an expansion of its fitness center.
The design, completed by Parker-Torres Design Inc., of Sudbury, Mass., was intended to showcase the hotel’s historical qualities while updating features and finishes. The redesign included all 294 guest rooms, according to a news release. Work began in the fall of 2013.
In addition to guest suites and rooms, the Providence Biltmore, which opened in 1922, has 13 meeting and banquet rooms and 19,000 square feet of function space. It is owned by Finard Properties, based in Boston.
The executive suites, which cater to business travelers, now have well-lit work stations. The fitness center was doubled in size and has been upgraded to include new Life Fitness equipment.
The rooftop grand ballroom, the reception area and meeting spaces all had renovations, according to the release.
