Biltmore completes first renovation phase

PROVIDENCE – The Providence Biltmore Hotel announced this month that it has completed guest-room renovations designed to bring back the “authentic character of the hotel” while also adding the most desirable contemporary amenities.
According to a news release, international design firm Parker-Torres oversaw the renovation, which included the historic hotel’s 294 guest rooms and guest corridors. The hotel said that the redesign includes “a rich color palette, luxurious dark wood finishes and unique furnishings.”
“The mix of luxury and functionality is the perfect balance for business and leisure travelers alike,” the hotel said in a statement. “New features include the exclusive, custom-made, king-sized Biltmore Bed in every room.”
The redesign also includes spacious executive suites custom designed for business travelers and updated meeting and conference areas.
The next phase of the $13 million renovation project will include renovations to the lobby and function rooms later this year. That project is aiming to create a fresh and sophisticated look while maintaining the timeless elegance of the Biltmore. •
