Visit the Hannaway Blacksmith Shop at Lincoln’s Chase Farm Park to learn about blacksmithing. Admission is free and visitors can experience the sights, sounds and smells of an old-fashioned blacksmith shop. A blacksmith will demonstrate how hot steel is transformed into various household implements with the use of an anvil. After watching, those interested can hike the parks 80 acres of hills and meadows. This event recurs each weekend and is part of the Rhody Ramble, a family adventure around Rhode Island.
