Block Island home sells for $3.5M

NEW SHOREHAM – A three-bedroom, four-bathroom colonial on Block Island has sold for $3.5 million, the highest sale on the island in four months, Lila Delman Real Estate has announced.
The home, built in 2003 at 1210 Grace Cove Road with high ocean views, fits a pattern of recent Block Island sales of being either above $2 million or below $1 million, said agent Rosemary Tobin of Lila Delman, who represented the buyer.
In addition to the Block Island sale, Lila Delman also represented the buyer in a $3.1 million home sale in the Weekapaug neighborhood of Westerly this month.
Located at 17 Winona Ave., the Weekapaug sale was also of a 2003 home, this one a five-bedroom shingle style within walking distance of the Weekapaug Yacht Club.
In other notable sales, Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty announced the $2.85 million sale of 675 Indian Avenue in Middletown, a 7,300-square-foot shingle style on 3.5 acres of waterfront land on the Sakonnet Passage. The house has seven bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, a waterfront guest cottage and an in-ground swimming pool.
