Historian and author David Kertzer will discuss his new book, “The Pope and Mussolini: the Secret History of Pius XI and the Rise of Fascism in Europe” this weekend at the Providence Athenaeum. The book tells the story of two men who came to power in 1922 and together changed the course of 20th century history.
