Books Are Wings, (add)ventures collect books

PROVIDENCE – A companywide book drive at (add)ventures, working with Books Are Wings, yielded 50 children’s books, which will benefit local libraries, schools and community centers.
The firm (add)ventures, based in Providence with offices in Miami and New York City, is a multidisciplinary brand culture and communications firm. Books Are Wings is a nonprofit in Pawtucket committed to children, community service, and literacy.
The book drive was organized by the firm’s corporate giving program – (add)love – and is one of the 25 Acts of NICEness initiatives created to celebrate the firm’s 25th year in business.
“We’re thrilled to support a wonderful organization like Books Are Wings,” said Mary Sadlier, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at (add)ventures. “One of our core principles at (add)ventures is that doing well begins with doing good. It’s important to us that we support our community. And what better way than by sharing the joys of reading with a new generation of Rhode Island children?”
Other “Acts of NICEness” that the firm has carried out this year include organizing a free popsicle day with students of the New Urban Arts summer program and creating a social media campaign that raised money for the Roger Williams University and University of Miami Public Relations Student Society of America chapters.
