PAWTUCKET – Dr. Jeffrey Borkan, the physician in chief of Family Medicine at Memorial Hospital, was recently appointed to the new position of assistant dean for Primary Care-Population Health Program Planning at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

The new program will train a cohort of clinician leaders who will work in the field of primary care and population health, with the goal of educating the next generation of primary-care leaders in clinical service, education, research and advocacy, hospital officials said.
