Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England recently awarded a $12,000 grant to Bradley Hospital. This marks the third grant from RHMC of Eastern New England to Butler Hospital, bringing the total to $42,000 since 2006.

“We’re grateful to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England for their generosity and commitment to children’s mental health,” said Dr. Karyn Horowitz, director of outpatient services at Butler Hospital. “Their support is essential and will help us achieve our mission of providing high-quality, family-focused care to children with emotional disorders.”

The grant was awarded to support the purchase of video equipment for Butler’s outpatient department. The equipment will be used to educate child-psychiatry trainees in using psychotherapy as a tool to enhance group-therapy sessions with children and families.

Karen McEachern, executive director of RMHC of Eastern New England, said, “We’re proud to support Bradley Hospital to help ensure that all children and their families have a brighter tomorrow.” •
