Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island holds statewide conference, fundraiser

EAST PROVIDENCE – The Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island, a statewide membership organization focused on raising awareness of brain injuries and its consequences, providing education to prevent brain injuries and enhancing the quality of life for those affected by brain injuries, is hosting some upcoming events.

Its 16th statewide Brain Injury Education Conference will be held March 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick hotel in Warwick. With presentations by several professionals in the field of brain injury, the conference will also offer continuing education units. Fees vary; register by clicking HERE.

On May 20, the organization will host a 3-mile fundraising walk, “Keep Your Head Up,” at Colt State Park in Bristol. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10. Tickets are $25 per person in advance; $35 per person the day of the event. Those who raise a minimum of $100 – including their $25 registration fee – will receive an event T-shirt.
