Brave River Solutions plans holiday giving campaign

WARWICK – Brave River Solutions has partnered with two Rhode Island nonprofit organizations this holiday season to support the local community through the Westbay Community Action Adopt-a-Family program and its annual employee donation campaign, the IT and Web-services company announced Tuesday.
This year marks the second time Brave River has sponsored a local family through the Westbay Community Action Adopt-a-Family program, which pairs local families in need with area businesses that have offered to help fulfill the family’s holiday wish list. Brave River will supply a family of five with gifts ranging from toys to clothes to grocery gift cards, the company said.
“Each year, many local families reach out for assistance after falling on financial hardship,” said Jim McAssey, vice president of Brave River, in a release. “We want to do our part to give back to families in the communities which have helped our organization grow, especially during the holiday season, when they may need it most.”
In addition, Brave River will support the United Way of Rhode Island through its annual employee donation campaign. UWRI is a local chapter of a national organization, and works with schools, government agencies, businesses, community development corporations and volunteer associations to help Rhode Islanders in need.
