Bridge celebrates Earth Day with e-waste drive

EAST GREENWICH – Bridge Technical Talent plans to celebrate Earth Day with its fifth e-waste recycling drive.
Although Earth Day falls on Monday, April 22, Bridge’s e-Waste drive, their fifth since 2009, with take place in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot in Warwick between 9 a.m. and 12 noon on Saturday, April 20.
Bridge is calling for Rhode Islanders to bring their old, broken and outdated computers, monitors, laptops, computer parts, routers, laser printers, printer cartridges, telephones, cell phones, televisions, DVD players, VCRs, cameras, radios, MP3 players and other unused electronic waste to the event.
A small donation per e-waste item is encouraged, and all proceeds will benefit Oceans of Grace, the outreach ministry of the First Lutheran Church of East Greenwich.
The company also plans to provide a shredding truck at the event to offer document-shredding services from Affordable Shredding Inc. Document-shredding services will be provided at 50 cents per pound. A percentage of that fee will also be donated.
