Bright Night Providence, Rhode Island’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration, will celebrate its tenth anniversary Monday. Arts-oriented and organized by artists, the first night celebration features family-friendly activities and performances at more than a dozen downtown venues. From folk singers and storytellers to improv groups and exhibits, the festivities begin at noon and continue through the midnight countdown in Kennedy Plaza. An opening ceremony will be held at the Bank of America Skating Center.
