PROVIDENCE – Brown University is accepting enrollment for the fall for its new 16-month Executive Master in Cybersecurity program.
“There’s no such thing as perfect or impenetrable security. Strategy is the best security,” Roberto Tamassia, executive director of the Brown Executive Master in Cybersecurity program, said in a statement. “We’ve developed a comprehensive and timely curriculum that teaches cybersecurity leaders how to unite stakeholders in technology, law and policy around an effective strategy.”
He said the Executive Master in Cybersecurity will prepare professionals to respond to cybersecurity challenges using an approach that “incorporates economic, human, legal, organizational, technological and socio-political factors.”
Cybersecurity, according to a news release from Brown, represents one of the greatest threats to industry and governments today, “yet the majority of cybersecurity professionals feel they lack the necessary skills and resources to keep up with the ever-increasing demands for cybersecurity.”

The program, according to the news release, is for “highly driven individuals with 5 to 15 years of professional and managerial experience, and responsibility for security in business, education, financial services, government, health care, policy, regulatory, retail or other sectors.”

An informational webinar will be held about the program on Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. To register, visit brown.edu/academics/professional/cybersecurity/events.php.
