Bryant to hold open house for physician assistant program

SMITHFIELD – Bryant University is hosting an open house on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. for individuals interested in its physician assistant studies program. According to information from the university, program enrollees will work with patients in 12 clinical specialty rotations, and will be paired with physicians affiliated with its key partners: The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, Care New England and Southcoast Health. Students will also study alongside providers in the Lifespan system, Blackstone Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Gateway Healthcare and Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

The program’s facilities include two new physician assistant classrooms, a high-fidelity simulation laboratory and a physical examination laboratory. Bryant’s program introduces students to eight management principles of medical practice – from quality management to organizational governance.
