CCF establishes career readiness program

WOONSOCKET – Connecting for Children and Families, a Woonsocket-based social services and nonprofit organization, completed its third cohort and is now recruiting applicants for a fourth eight-week Real Jobs Rhode Island-funded career readiness workshop at the Northern Rhode Island Career Academy.

Aimed at adults interested in call center and banking career paths, participants will benefit from employer partnerships, including Amica Mutual Insurance Co., Bank of America, Citizens Bank, CVS Health, Navigant Credit Union, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island and Pawtucket Credit Union.

The fourth cohort will begin in March and to date has 15 individuals signed up to participate. So far the program has graduated 40.
