CCRI, RIF heads honored by New England Board of Higher Ed.

THE NEW ENGLAND BOARD OF Higher Education has honored CCRI President Ray Di Pasquale and Rhode Island Foundation President and CEO Neil D. Steinberg.

PROVIDENCE – Ray Di Pasquale, the president of the Community College of Rhode Island, and The Rhode Island Foundation President and CEO Neil D. Steinberg have been honored by the New England Board of Higher Education, reported the Associated Press.

The board awarded Di Pasquale, who has also served as chairman of the R.I. Board of Governors of Higher Education, with the lifetime achievement award, according to the news source.

Steinberg and The Rhode Island Foundation are being awarded with a state merit award for the organization’s support of middle and high school retention programs, charter schools and professional development initiatives.

The AP reported that the award ceremony will be in March in Boston.
