The February installment of our Charity Series; CHARITY REVOLUTION will be on February 17, 2011 6-9 PM at the Cuban Revolution Restaurant & Bar on 60 Valley Street Providence, RI.

The Charity we are highlighting will be: Children’s Wishes of Rhode Island.

The mission of Children’s Wishes of Rhode Island (http://www.cwishesri.com/) is to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical illnesses and work closely with childr...en’s hospitals, physicians, child life specialists and parents. We grant wishes to children between the ages of 2 and half and 18 years of age.

We will be asking for a $5 Donation from all participants when they enter and raffle tickets will be $5 a piece with all money collected going directly to the charity (Our last raffle had a total of $850.00 worth of donated items in it from local businesses and media outlets and raised $485.00 for Crossroads Rhode Island.)

For February we are asking participants to bring their laptops in order to make this a truly social media experience with questions being answered about Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and other applications.

Live music will be provided by one of the hottest Jazz artists in the city; Mike Rollins- http://www.myspace.com/mikerollinsandco/music

We welcome any media coverage for Charity Revolution as well as any donations for the raffle. If you have any questions, please contact me at 857-492-6789 or woolley_annemarie@yahoo.com.
