WOONSOCKET – CVS Caremark Corp. was named one of America’s most reputable companies by the Reputation Institute and Forbes Media, the company announced Friday.
The results were based on Reputation Institute’s 2012 U.S. RepTrak Pulse, a study that measures the 150 largest public companies in the United States.
Survey respondents rated companies on workplace, governance, citizenship, financial performance and leadership, products, and services and innovation.
CVS ranked 25 on the list, rising five slots from its spot on the 2011 study.
“We are proud to be ranked among the most reputable companies in America,” Larry J. Merlo, president and CEO of CVS Caremark, said in prepared remarks.
“As a pharmacy innovation company, CVS Caremark knows that to make a difference you have to do things differently,” he added. “So, we're reinventing pharmacy to help people on their path to better health by providing caring expert guidance, new cost-effective solutions, and even more convenient access to care.”
General Mills, Kraft and Johnson & Johnson were, respectively, the three most reputable companies in the United States.
