WOONSOCKET – CVS Caremark Corp. announced Wednesday that it has signed a three-year contract to continue providing pharmacy benefit services for the Blue Cross & Blue Shield Federal Employee Program.

The new agreement, which extends CVS Caremark’s partnership with the Federal Employee Program through 2017, builds on more than two decades of service. CVS has been administering the FEP’s retail pharmacy benefit management program since 1993.

“FEP is a highly valued client, and we are committed to delivering the same high level of service and patient satisfaction that we have provided to FEP’s federal employees, retirees and their families for many years,” said Jon Roberts, president of the CVS Caremark Pharmacy Benefit Management business, in a statement.

Under the contract, CVS will provide retail pharmacy benefit management services, mail service pharmacy, specialty pharmacy services and customized clinical programs to more than 5 million federal employees, retirees and dependents.
