WOONSOCKET — CVS/pharmacy announced on Thursday a new web tool for customers, the online Drug Information Center at CVS.com, which enables customers to access “best-in-class” drug information, a drug interaction checker and various other resources. CVS/pharmacy is the retail division of CVS Caremark Corporation.
The new online tool “empowers users” by supplying information on prescription and non-prescription medications, vitamins and supplements, CVS/pharmacy said in a release.

“As a pharmacy innovation company, we are constantly exploring new tools and resources to help our customers on their path to better health,” Brian Tilzer, senior vice president, chief digital officer for CVS/pharmacy said in prepared remarks.
He continued, “With this launch, we are offering users medication expertise in a simple, interactive way that provides relevant and personalized drug information that has never been made available to them before.”
The Drug Information Center allows users to find easy-to-understand, enhanced drug information; view “How This Drug Works” videos; see details on side effect occurrence rates; use a personalized drug interaction center; identify pills and print a personalized medicine list that folds into card size and can be stored in a wallet, among other features, according to the release.
CVS/pharmacy will continue to add new features to its website and online Drug Information Center in the coming months, the company stated in a release.
