CRANSTON – Allison Carley has been appointed president of Luca + Danni.

The jewelry company said Carley will help meet the needs of its growing workforce and expanding product demand; she will work alongside owner and CEO Fred Magnanimi, according to a company statement released this week.

“We are thrilled to welcome Allison to the Luca + Danni family during this very exciting period of growth for the brand,” Magnanimi said. “We have a great product and a passionate base, and with Allison’s expertise, we’ll be able to meet and exceed customer expectations.”

Carley previously served as vice president of sales at Alex and Ani for four years, where she helped grow that jewelry firm’s wholesale and licensing business from $5 million to more than $200 million through relationships with retailers, the release said.

In her new role at Luca + Danni, Carley will lead the sales and distribution strategy.

Carley said she “jumped” at the opportunity to join Luca + Danni.

“When I first met Fred and the Magnanimi family, I felt an immediate connection to them, what they’ve been through as a family and a business, and was inspired by what they are achieving with their brand. I’m very excited to now be a part of it,” she said.

Magnanimi launched the brand in August 2014 after his brother, Danny, lost a battle with leukemia at age 33. Magnanimi, who was working as an investment banker in New York City at the time, returned home to Rhode Island to take over the family jewelry manufacturing business. He launched Luca + Danni in honor and memory of his brother, who envisioned creating a unique line of handcrafted, American-made jewelry to inspire others.
