Central Falls program starts online-permit program

CENTRAL FALLS – The city has established a new program aimed at small businesses that will allow owners to request city permits and register new business licenses online.
The collaboration with the tech company, OpenCounter, was announced recently by Mayor James Diossa. The “one stop shop” service for business allows visitors to file information for a new business registration, check fees and determine the remaining steps without heading to City Hall.
OpenCounter is already being used in Boston, and in several other cities in the U.S., including Indianapolis, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Palo Alto, Calif. The Central Falls site is available here: central-falls.opencounter.us.
